A Month of Devotional Thought — Haides, Day 14

Today has been a bit difficult for me to write because I really do not know how the worship of Haides has changed for the modern era. Other than his involvement in funerary rites, I simply do not have a clue how Haides was worshiped in the Classical and Roman periods.

Because of this, I can’t really and honestly say how the worship of Haides has evolved in the present era except for my PERSONAL practices. For me, I honor Haides with myrrh incense and an offering of Metaxa when either I am remembering my ancestors or making an offering in honor of someone who is recently deceased.

I feel like I should be able to say more on this topic, but unfortunately, I simply can’t.
